FIEP IN LATIN AMERICA

Abstract

This article offers a wide vision of the Fédération Internationale d´Éducation Physique – FIEP since its origin in Belgium in 1923 to our days. It describes the mission of the entity, its administrative structure, the way it operates and acts. The main focus is on Latin America. Due to Latin America continental dimension, there are FIEP General Delegates for each one of its three major regions– Central America, Caribbean and South America, while other continents have only one delegate each. The author introduces a brief overview of FIEP’s actions in the mentioned regions, including its operations staff with their respective credentials and main developed actions.
